We’ll be the first to admit it — we’re not career restaurateurs. But what we are is fast learners, good listeners, and passionate about creating a place where people feel at home. So, who are we? Let’s take a moment to introduce the amazing team behind The Jetty.
Cass isn’t new to hospitality. As the former owner of Ruby’s in Mana, she brings her experience, warmth, and customer-first energy into everything she does. A devoted mum and a powerhouse of enthusiasm, Cass is the perfect person to help us steer the ship while keeping love and joy at the centre of it all.
Nick joined us from Fratelli in the city, and while he’s no longer running an Italian kitchen, he’s proving every day that he can handle the challenge of both a day and night menu. Humble, talented, and multi-skilled (he’s also in a rock band and an event organiser), Nick is a natural fit for our team of many hats.
Many of you already know Helen. She’s been at the Boating Club for years, and we’re thrilled she chose to stay on with us. Straight-talking, hardworking, and endlessly knowledgeable, Helen is our voice of reason and a big part of why things run smoothly.
James, Max, Katie, Caelan, Chloe, Caiden, Perrin, Hannah, and Ivy — many of whom have been part of the Boating Club family for some time — keep us afloat day to day. From running orders and prepping to serving, cleaning, and keeping the dishes moving, their dedication keeps the wheels turning. Rowan from The Duke and Mel from Ruby’s have also jumped in to help Nick in our tiny-but-mighty kitchen.
Our son Oliver may be off travelling the world, but he’s still part of the team — building and updating our website as he goes. Our daughters, Ruby (who works full-time elsewhere) and Evie (owner of Betsy Coffee Truck), pitch in whenever we need an extra pair of hands.
At the heart of it all, it’s just us — wanting to have fun, create good vibes, and bring love and life into everything we do. That’s our strength, and that’s the energy we want The Jetty to radiate.
We’re not perfect, but we’re learning quickly, adapting every day, and most importantly — listening to you, our guests. The response so far has been incredible. Who would’ve thought we’d be packed with such wonderful customers, all without signage, advertising, or any prior clue about running a restaurant?
